BIG THANKS from

Montgomery Education Foundation

The Montgomery Education Foundation would like to thank all the volunteers, donors, underwriters, and patrons who attended and bid on auction items at our second annual Crab Feed. With your help we raised over $20,000 that helped us fund our spring grant requests which include funding for AVID students to take a field trip to tour a university, funding to publish the student written “Take a Walk in the Fifties Hall” books, funding for a technical director who has helped to facilitate the exceptional Hello Dolly performance by the drama department, funding for the Technical Committee, and much more. We still have more to do as we support this years' Project Graduation, the Senior Breakfast, and a booth in the Human Race. We will also be hosting our final teacher appreciation brunch of the year on Tuesday, May 4, and we invite you to bring a salad or dessert and get a chance to mingle with the MEF members and the MHS teachers.

Yearbook Sales & Info

The Valhal yearbook welcomes you back, Vikings!

Great Prizes for Buying a Yearbook/ASB!

Hey Vikings –

Big news from the Yearbook! We want to thank those of you who have already purchased your yearbook and ASB membership, and we want to encourage everyone else to get them while they are hot.

So: anyone who has already bought their book, or who buys their yearbook/asb before the end of the month will be automatically entered into a drawing for these cool prizes:

Two certificates good for $50 off the yearbook

One IPod Nano, worth $149

And a grand prize of one IPod Touch, worth $229.

No fooling! So get online and buy your yearbook/asb, or bring your check or cash in to the business office at brunch, lunch, or after school. That's 50 bucks, a Nano, or a Touch, all to show our appreciation for doing something you were probably going to do anyway. Buy your books now!

Sales Update

For a variety of reasons, Yearbook/ASB sales will be opened up to direct sales through the Business Office at school for the next three weeks, until Friday, September 18th. This will give everyone a chance to buy the Yearbook/ASB combination for $80, exactly as offered online and minus the service fee, with no penalty whatsoever. You can pay with cash or a check made out to Montgomery High School , and please indicate clearly on the check who the book is being purchased for. You will receive a receipt which you can then present to the Business Office to receive your ASB sticker once ID cards have been distributed.

In the meantime, online sales are continuing, and will continue throughout the year. We want to clarify that currently the ONLY online option is to buy Yearbook/ASB together for $80 plus service fee. The sales site does not indicate that ASB is included, but we want to reassure you that it is. As of October 1st , all sales will be for the yearbook only. We will offer a window at each price level during which you may purchase books directly through the Business Office, but we hope the Montgomery community will continue to use the online sales option if at all possible.

We want to apologize for and clarify the confusion some of you have encountered, and look forward to your continued support for the yearbook through your book and ad purchases. Thank you.

We have some updated information for you, and we want to make sure the entire Monty family gets the corrected facts. We apologize for the confusion around sales at orientation, and wanted to clarify things. We accidentally included two sets of information in the Messenger, one set based on what we have done in the past, and the other set based on our new online sales. In addition, we had to refine our offerings slightly to offer the online sales, so here is the final corrected information. We thank you for your patience and understanding, and apologize again for the mix-up.

Yearbook Sales

NEW THIS YEAR NEW THIS YEAR NEW THIS YEAR

We are implementing online ordering and payment for the first time. As a result, you will have slightly different options than you have had the last few years. The base price will remain the same, with a nominal $2 per book service charge for online ordering. There is a significant discount if you buy your book early. Prices are at their lowest now, and will only increase. We encourage you to take advantage of the pricing plan and buy your yearbook early!

Through September: Yearbook/ASB combined: $80

October: Yearbook only: $75

November through March, 2010: Yearbook only: $90

April through May 7, 2010: Yearbook only: $95

All online orders: Add $2 per book

To receive your ASB sticker bring your printed receipt to the Business Office after you receive your ID card. ASB membership only can be purchased separately through the business office for $25. You will not be able to purchase a yearbook without ASB membership until after combined yearbook/ASB sales are completed in September. Finally, we will sell books following distribution during finals week for $100 cash only, first come, first served, as available, from the business office.

Sales are online and secure, payable by credit card or e-check debited from your account . Go to www.yearbookforever.com and type in Montgomery High School , then click on it to proceed. You can buy your book at any time that is convenient for you. There is also live help available toll free at 877-723-6344.
